Welfare, Safeguarding & Policies

The welfare of every swimmer at Grantham Swim Club is our priority. As a member of Swim England we follow all welfare guidance and regulations set out in Swim England's child protection procedures.

If someone is in immediate danger

Call the emergency services on 999. For urgent safeguarding concerns outside the club, the NSPCC helpline is available 24/7 on 0808 800 5000.

Raising a Concern

If you have any child protection concerns, please contact our Welfare Officer directly. Information may need to be passed to the committee and the Swim England Legal Office if the concern is considered serious and cannot be dealt with without their advice.

Wavepower

The aim of Wavepower is to safeguard all children in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance, and is for use within any Swim England affiliated organisation where children are present. Wavepower consistently emphasises that responsibility for child safeguarding in our sport belongs with all those involved — it is not the sole responsibility of any one person at local, county or national level.
